This study examined psychological traumas that influence deviant behaviors in adolescents. Given adverse social, psychological, and familial conditions, adolescents predisposed to criminality often experience psychological disorders, familial dysfunction, and negative impacts from their social environment, all of which contribute to their deviant tendencies. The concepts of pathology and deviant behavior were introduced as the two central themes of this research. Additionally, the developmental stages of adolescents and the process of socialization are emphasized as foundational to identity formation and social adaptability. The primary research question was: What factors influence the emergence of deviant behaviors in adolescents? Evidence suggests that psychological and emotional disorders, unfavorable family conditions, and the influence of social and cultural environments increase the likelihood of deviant behavior. Utilizing an analytical-descriptive methodology, the study concludes that establishing a supportive and secure environment, particularly within the family and community, can contribute to the reduction of deviant behaviors. Consequently, the importance of collaboration among various institutions and a focus on educational strategies to foster positive identity development in adolescents and mitigate social deviance are highlighted.
