Current Issue

The second issue of the Salamat Academic & Research Journal continues its mission of fostering medical and public health research by presenting a diverse selection of studies relevant to Afghanistan and beyond. This edition features original research on critical health topics, including the risk of obstructive sleep apnea in pregnancy, anesthesia outcomes in hemorrhoidectomy, and women's knowledge and practices regarding physical activity and cardiovascular health. Other studies explore public awareness of cell phone radiation hazards, the prevalence and management of hepatic hydatid cysts, and tuberculosis knowledge among hospital outpatients. Additionally, a review article employs advanced neural network models to forecast COVID-19 trends in Afghanistan and Iran, offering valuable insights into epidemic prediction. With its broad scope and evidence-based findings, this issue contributes to enhancing healthcare practices and public health awareness in the region.
