نگارش مقاله علمی تحقیقاتی برای بسیاری از محققان و متخصصان جوان طب که اغلب فاقد آموزش خاص در ارائه مؤثر کار تحقیقاتی خود در قالب مکتوب هستند، کاری چالش برانگیز است. هدف این مقاله بررسی این موضوع با ارائه مروری جامع بر استانداردها و دستورالعمل‌های نگارش مقالات طبی بر اساس الزامات مجلات بین‌المللی است. اهمیت نشر مقالات در پیشرفت شغلی، کسب بودجه، کسب مدارک تحصیلی و تسهیل در اشتراک‌گذاری دانش مورد تاکید قرار گرفته است. این مقاله با اذعان به مشکلات پیش روی محققان طبی در نگارش مقالات علمی آغاز می‌شود و عدم آموزش در این زمینه را برجسته می‌کند. تمرکز مقاله بر ارائه مراحل ضروری در نگارش مقاله علمی طبی با رعایت استانداردهای بین المللی است. بخش‌های معمول در مقاله اصیل طبی شامل عنوان، چکیده، مقدمه، روش تحقیق، نتایج، بحث و منابع را شناسایی و توصیف کرده و عناصر کلیدی که باید در این بخش‌ها گنجانده شوند را شرح می‌دهد. علاوه‌بر‌این، راهنمایی برای افزایش جذابیت و مقبولیت کلی مقاله ارائه می‌دهد. این مقاله با ارائه مروری جامع بر استانداردها و دستورالعمل‌های نگارش مقالات طبی، بر آن است تا محققان و متخصصان جوان علوم طبی را به دانش و مهارت‌های لازم برای انتقال مؤثر یافته‌های تحقیقی خود به صورت مکتوب مجهز کند. این مطالعه مروری منبع ارزشمند برای نویسندگان مشتاقی است که به دنبال نگارش مقالات تحقیقاتی با کیفیت بالا هستند تا انتظارات و الزامات مجلات بین‌المللی را برآورده کنند.
